Should Vaccines Be Mandatory?

Due to the recent disease outbreak scares, the mainstream media and their mockingbird affiliates nationwide, are calling for mandatory vaccinations. Government departments, officials, and our elected representative’s narratives are also leaning towards compulsory immunization. This shockingly bold agenda to force immunizations for the safety of the public is absurd, immoral, and unconstitutional and will not keep the public safe, in fact, it may cause further spread of disease. If implemented, mandatory vaccinations could be devastating to individual freedom and public health as a whole. I strongly oppose any legislation supporting required inoculation and here are the reasons why.

Regardless of what you’ve been told, or should I say sold, vaccines are not safe and effective. They are only effective at spreading the illnesses that they claim to protect against and eradicate from the body. Although many may not have been affected negatively by immunizations in the past, many have been negatively affected. Take Ayzlee McCarthy for example, a three-year-old girl that recently died from the flu. The Des Moines Register reported that Ayzlee “was healthy” and “had a flu shot” before dying in an astonishing seventy-two hours from the exact illness she was vaccinated for. So much for safe and effective, right?

When taking vaccines, you take the risk of being injured or dying from the vaccination. The Center for Disease Control website states “Vaccines are developed with the highest standards of safety. However, as with any medical procedure, vaccination has some risks. Individuals react differently to vaccines, and there is no way to predict how individuals will react to a particular vaccine.” It goes on to say, “Approximately 30,000 VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) reports are filed annually, with 10-15% classified as serious (resulting in permanent disability, hospitalization, life-threatening illnesses or death).” These statements should at least raise your eyebrows and cause you to question whether we should require people to get vaccinated. Imagine if your family, friends or coworkers got vaccinated and died because their bodies did not receive the immunization well. Still think they’re safe and effective?

Passed into law in 1986, The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program exempts vaccine manufactures from being held liable if their product injures or kills someone. The Health Resources and Services website says “The VICP is a no-fault alternative to the traditional tort system for resolving vaccine injury claims that provides compensation to people found to be injured by certain vaccines. The U. S. Court of Federal Claims decides who will be paid.” Not only are vaccine manufacturers not liable for injuries, your claim will be reviewed by the incompetent bureaucracy our government created, and there is no guarantee you will receive any monetary compensation.

Mandatory vaccinations are a disaster waiting to happen. It’s one thing if you get vaccinated by choice and suffer because your Mal-investment in the product, but it’s completely immoral to force someone to take a product that may kill them. If the vaccine works for you, that’s great, no one is stopping you from vaccinating. Skeptics may say that herd-immunization, or forced inoculation of the public, is worth the price we pay even if some people die from vaccination, but that is hardly a reason. Some people argue that redistribution of wealth is for the common good, but that doesn’t work either.

Ultimately, having the power to forcibly inject a population with a substance that has proven to cause harm and even death is every Tyrants dream. Mandatory vaccinations are not the answer. Freedom of choice is the answer.
