A Scenario

About two years ago, I wrote this scenario and published it here.  After reading the article from Bosnia I posted yesterday, I felt it appropriate to repost it for your reading as it comes more to life now.

We have collapsed.  Bob is your neighbor.  You have spoken to Bob many times about prepping and he laughed at you.  He has seen your preparations as he walked “Fi Fi” the french poodle past your open garage door.  Now, he has run out of food.  Due to the rioting, he is afraid to even leave the neighborhood.  He comes to you and says his family is starving.  You reply that you warned him of this, but you only have enough for your family.  Bob goes home angry, stares into the faces of his starving family and goes to his closet.  He gets down the cardboard box and the S&W model 686 he bought.  He pulls the box of 357 magnum ammo that has 38 rounds left in it from him going to the range and shooting two cylinders of ammo. He loads and heads back next door to your home………………………..

Next we have Julio.  Julio has a tattoo of a bulldog on his neck and a couple of tears on his cheek from a stay in jail, where he shanked a couple inmates not of his gang.  Julio knows that Esteban is a prepper.  He knows this because he recruited Esteban’s son, Raul,  to the “bulldogs” and Raul had spilled the beans.  Julio already has looted, burned and raped a lot of the lucrative targets in the city with the gang.  He now is being selective.  Too many gang “soldiers” have been lost.  He knows his next target.  He will overwhelm Esteban’s home…………………

Bob, Steve and Samuel are hunting buddies. They have always said that when the shit hits the fan they would go to the mountains and live of the land.  They do exactly that.  They find what they thought would be easy was totally the opposite.  With no knowledge of edible plants and on a steady diet of meat, Samuel falls ill with intestinal compaction. Bob and Steve are beginning to show the first signs of scurvy.  Samuel dies in the night a horrible, painful death.  Bob and Steve realize they need to rethink their plan.  There were plenty of homes with gardens in the foothills they have seen in passing on their trips up to hunt.  They will start hunting there….They are desperate……………..

Carrie has learned the welfare system from her mother.  She has three children that she produced to get a bigger welfare check.  Now she is watching them starve.  She waits in the alley with a knife.  Roger is trying to make his way out of the city to get somewhere safe.  He picks the wrong alley to make his exodus. After the kill, Carrie begins to cut meat………………..

The military now under UN control is trying to “pacify”.  They move through the city looking for fit workers to put into FEMA camps.  They are brutal and kill all that do not measure up or cooperate.  They rape and then kill attractive women. They kill them so they cannot accuse soldiers of “Atrocities.”……………

The ones “Lucky enough” to go to the FEMA camps are given three hots and a cot.  They are totally stoked at being out of the burned out buildings they have lived in for months scratching for what they can.  They will do ANYTHING including enslaving work to make sure they stay in the camp.  They do not want to lose their “salvation.”…………………..

These are just a few of the scenarios,  you, in your environment,  could come up with 50 more

These are the threats……. I would like someone to PLEASE say I am wrong.  Unfortunately, I am not.
