The Fresno Police Department’s Deputy Police Chief, Keith Foster, has been arrested on charges of “distributing and possessing oxycodone, marijuana, and heroin.” After a year of investigation, Special Agent Sherri L. Reynolds of the ATF filed a criminal complaint against Foster and five others accusing them of drug trafficking.
Keith Foster became a Deputy Chief of Police for the FPD eight years ago and is supposed to be keeping the streets of Fresno safe. Instead, he exploited the fact that drugs are illegal, due to the phony “War on Drugs”, and used his position of authority to make money, thinking he was above the law. Fortunately, that didn’t work out for him. If drugs were legalized there would be competition for profit, hence making it harder to make money, and we wouldn’t have Deputy Police Chiefs illegally dealing drugs because the profits are lucrative.
Fresno’s Chief of Police, Jerry Dyer, said he was “at a loss for words” when Foster’s charges were revealed to him. Seeing that Jerry Dyer was close friends with Foster, his second in command, it’s also questionable whether Dyer really had no knowledge of what was going on, or was just looking the other way. Either way it shows the hypocrisy of the police state’s supposed objective of “keeping the public safe” through mass surveillance and prohibition of “controlled substances”. As we can see, the government can’t keep the public safe from itself.
Since the Fresno Police Department seems inclined to enforce unconstitutional drug laws against the residents of Fresno on a regular basis, maybe they should start with turning their focus on the Fresno Police Department.
